Vilu Residence Arrival and Departure Guideline
We are excited to welcome you to Paradise Cove and Maamigili Island! To help you plan your journey, please review the arrival and departure details below to ensure your international flight aligns with our transfer schedules.
Arrival at Velana International Airport
Upon arriving at Velana International Airport, you can choose between two transfer options to reach Maamigili Island: Speedboat or Domestic Flight.
Transfer Options
Option 1. Speed Boat Option
- Price: $45 USD per person, one way
- Duration: Approximately 1 hour 45 minutes (may extend to 2 hours in rough sea conditions)
- Departure from Malé: 15:00 (Please be at the Maldives Monetary Authority Jetty Number 1 by 14:45)
- Departure from Maamigili: 7:00 (Please inform us 2 days in advance to book your return ticket)

Instructions
- Once you enter the speedboat, inform the captain or crew that you have made a booking under Vilu Residence.
- To reach the speedboat from Velana Airport, take a taxi to Malé and proceed to Jetty Number 1.
Payment Notes
- Card payments incur a 3.5% bank fee.
- Cash payment is accepted in USD or in MVR at an exchange rate of 1 USD = 17 MVR. We recommend cash in USD for convenience.
Option 2. Domestic Flight Option
- Price: $155 USD per person, one way
- Flight Duration: 20 minutes from Velana International Airport to Maamigili Airport
- Booking: You can go directly from the international terminal to the domestic terminal for this transfer.
Booking Recommendations:
- To check availability, we recommend informing us at least 3 days in advance to confirm your booking.
- Upon your request, we will share the domestic flight schedules, allowing you to choose any preferred flight. We will then check the availability and confirm your booking.
- Once confirmed, we will notify you of the flight details.
Departure from Maamigili
Option 1. Return via Speed Boat
- Departure from Maamigili: 7:00 am (Please inform us 2 days prior to your departure to secure your return ticket on the speedboat)
- Ensure your international flight departure from Malé allows sufficient time after this transfer (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours).
Option 2. Return via Domestic Flight
- If opting for a domestic flight, please confirm your international flight time to ensure compatibility with available domestic schedules.
Important Information for International Flight Bookings
To avoid any delays and ensure smooth connections, we recommend booking international flights that align with the above schedules. For guests arriving after 15:00, the speedboat transfer will not be available, so the domestic flight option may be required.
